Program assists Willmar business
WILLMAR -- David Richter recently received loan assistance from the Southwest Initiative Foundation's Microenterprise Loan Program for start-up of his commercial heating, ventilation and air conditioning contracting business, Bullet Proof Mechanical Service, Inc., in Willmar.
Richter has 14 years of experience as an HVAC service technician and decided the timing was right to start his own business. Richter's wife, Angela, will be assisting him in the business operations and management. Richter can be reached at 320-905-7513 and offers free estimates for commercial HVAC service needs.
"SWIF is pleased to be able to assist David with the start-up of this business, which has been a goal of his for several years," said loan program officer Kurt Thompson.
Heritage Bank of Willmar assisted with financing. Loan proceeds will provide business working capital.
The program offers loans of up to $50,000 for starting or expanding for-profit small businesses located within an 18-county area of southwest Minnesota and offers free technical assistance to clients.
