Property tax breaks for some in Minnesota would be made possible by hikes for others
ST. PAUL -- A third of Minnesota homeowners would pay lower property taxes under a bill that appeared on its way to passing the House Monday night.
However, in order to pay for those property tax cuts, many other Minnesotans would pay higher income taxes. The bill also stops businesses from enrolling in the state's top rural economic de-velopment program.
