Public input sought on MnDOT 20-year plan; June 6 meeting planned in Willmar, Minn.
WILLMAR - A proposed 20-year plan for transportation in Minnesota will be reviewed during statewide meetings in the next month, including June 6 in Willmar.
The meeting will be held at 1 p.m. June 6 at the Kandiyohi County Health and Human Services Building in Willmar.
According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, an overview draft of the Minnesota 20-year State Highway Investment Plan, referred to as MnSHIP, will be presented to the public and transportation stakeholders.
The draft plan sets priorities for how to invest $18 billion in the 12,000-mile state highway network over the next 20 years.
Community feedback was sought in 2012, which was incorporated into the draft plan.
The meeting in Willmar is one of eight that will be held across the state.
Two live webinars will also be held and additional information can be found at http://www.dot.state.mn.us/planning/statehighwayinvestmentplan/participa...
Once the informational meetings on the draft plan are completed public hearings will be held in July that will be considered for the final plan, due in August.
