Public listening session for future Highway 12 reconstruction set for June 10
WILLMAR -- The Minnesota Department of Transportation has invited the public to ask questions and provide comments about the future U.S. Highway 12 reconstruction project in Willmar.
The public listening session will be from 6 to 8 p.m. June 10 at the Willmar MnDOT building, 2505 Transportation Road, near the Willmar Civic Center.
The Highway 12 reconstruction project is a one-mile, two-stage project that spans a half-mile east and a half-mile west of the Highway 71 Bypass bridge in Willmar. It will resurface driving lanes, add turning lanes, replace culverts and realign entrances.
At the listening session, residents and business owners will be able to speak with members of the project team in an informal setting.
The meeting will give those affected an opportunity to comment on the project's impact on mobility and access.
