Publishing engagement, wedding news in the Tribune
These guidelines explain the basics of submitting wedding and engagement news for publication in the West Central Tribune. Please call the newsroom at 320-235-1150 or e-mail at email@example.com for answers to specific questions.
Submission of engagement and wedding stories and photos is preferred via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Please include the name and phone number of a person who can be contacted if there are questions about the submission.
Forms are available by request at the above e-mail for both engagement and wedding stories, which are published according to Tribune guidelines. Parties may contact advertising if a specifically worded announcement is desired.
Engagement and wedding stories are published Saturdays. The deadline is noon Monday for consideration that week. However, publication date is not guaranteed.
Engagements will be published free of charge. A good rule of thumb is to submit engagements at least two months before the wedding date.
Wedding stories will be published free of charge provided they are received by our office no later than three months after the wedding date. Wedding announcements submitted after the three-month deadline will be handled by display advertising at advertising rates. Please attach the wedding bulletin.
Photos will be published if quality is satisfactory for reproduction. Professional photos are not required, and color or black and white photos are acceptable.
Print photos will be returned if a self-addressed, stamped envelope is provided, or they may be picked up after publication.
