Quiet archery hunt starts true to form

Email

WILLMAR -- Archers began their quiet search for that perfect shot a week ago Saturday and true to form, no one is making a lot of noise about what they may be seeing.

A check with local registration stations indicates that few deer were registered since the start of the deer archery season.

That's only to be expected with the warm weather, said Brad Foshaug, Brad's 71 Bait and Sports, Willmar. He said hunters reported seeing only minimal deer activity during the weekend.
