WILLMAR --Ruby Maxine Reishus, 84, of Willmar, died Tuesday at Rice Care Center in Willmar.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake in rural New London. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar and for one hour prior to the services at the church.
She was born Sept. 27, 1923, in Hanley Falls to Edwin and Christine (Midboe) Olson. She graduated from high school in Hanley Falls in 1941.
She married Harvey Reishus on July 10, 1941. They made their home in Hanley Falls until moving to Clarkfield in 1953 where she worked as a homemaker. In 1961, they moved to Willmar, later moving to their lake home on Norway Lake in 1968 and New London in 1993. Maxine moved to Willmar in 2007 where she was a resident of Rice Care Center and Valleybrook assisted living.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church of Norway Lake where she was active in WELCA. She was active in PTA while her children were in school and was a member of Eastern Star.
She is survived by her children, Michael (and Kathy) Reishus of Willmar, Miriam (and Bob) Bjelkengren of Park Rapids, Brian (and Mary) Reishus of New London and Beth (and Paul) Julig of North Pole, Alaska.; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and siblings: Verna (and John) Olson of Minneapolis, Bob (and Julie) Olson of Fairbault and Lillian Olson of Granite Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998, two brothers and two sisters.
