Railroad crossing work Monday will close Hwy. 12

WILLMAR -- U.S. Highway 12 west of Willmar will be closed Monday and traffic will be detoured for three days next week for replacement of a railroad crossing, the Minnesota Department of Transportation announced Tuesday.

Traffic on Highway 12 will be detoured on County Road 5, state Highway 40, County Road 55 to Highway 12.

A crew from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway will replace the crossing. MnDOT said the project is expected to be completed Aug. 13, weather permitting.
