Rancher dies in ATV accident near Leader, Minn.

A 66-year-old Leader, Minn., rancher has died following an all-terrain vehicle crash in Moose Lake Township in southern Cass County.

According to a news release from the Cass County Sheriff's Office, the body of the victim was found at about 3 a.m. Wednesday.

A report was made in the early morning hours regarding the missing rancher; deputies and volunteers began a search of the area and later found the victim at the ATV accident scene on his ranch.

His death, apparently the result of an ATV crash, remains under investigation pending autopsy results from the Ramsey County Medical Examiner's Office.

His name is being withheld pending notification of family members.

Leader is located in far southern Cass County, about 13 miles north of Motley, Minn.
