GROVE CITY -- Rebekah "Becky" Kristin Joramo, 25, of Moose Lake, formerly of Grove City, died Monday at her home.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Burial will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Arrangements are by Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home, Litchfield.

She was born Oct. 21, 1983, in Litchfield to Steve and Ruth (Gustafson) Joramo. She grew up and attended ACGC schools, graduating in 2002. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Superior with a degree in social work. She lived in Moose Lake and worked as a social worker for the state of Minnesota. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her parents; sister: Jennifer (and Warren) Riebe of Litchfield; grandmothers: Bernice Gustafson of Willmar and Marian Joramo of Litchfield.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers.

BENSON -- Thorvin J. Johnson, 95, of Benson died Friday at the New Brighton Care Center in New Brighton.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck. Burial will be in the Benson City Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.

He was born May 18, 1913, in Montevideo to Frank and Anna (Nokleby) Johnson. He grew up in Grace Township, Chippewa County, and attended country school in Cashel Township.

He married Lydia Guse on Feb. 24, 1939. They moved to Grace Township in 1943 and farmed until 1970 when they moved to Lake Minnewaska. They moved to Spring Lake Park in 1997. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Chippewa County, a past member of Our Redeemer's Lutheran Church in Benson and a member of Fron Lutheran Church in Starbuck.

He is survived by his children: Dean (and Jean) Johnson of Starbuck and Kathy (and Steve) Miller of Mounds View; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1999, one brother and two sisters.

BENSON -- Edward James Garrity, 52, of Benson died unexpectedly Friday in Benson.

A private ceremony will be held later.

He was born April 8, 1956, in Minneapolis to Robert and Allie Garrity. He grew up in Bloomington, graduating from Lincoln Senior High. He moved to Benson and worked at Red Ball LLC in the farm equipment division and as a cabinet maker in the Twin Cities.

He is survived by four children: Brian (and Lisa) Garrity of Eagan, Jenny Garrity of Apple Valley, Leah Garrity of Benson and Jared Garrity of Benson; two grandchildren; siblings: Peggy (and Jerry) Korba of Richfield, Mary (and Gerry) Garrity of Columbus, Patrick (and Barb) Garrity of Prior Lake and Thomas Garrity of Minneapolis.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dona, and his parents.

MURDOCK -- Richard Warren "Dick" Larson, 76, of Murdock died Sunday at home.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Murdock. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Zniewski Funeral Home in Benson.

He was born Jan. 30, 1932, on a farm north of Murdock to Thure and Laurena (Dahl) Larson. He attended country school through eighth grade and graduated from Murdock High School in 1949. He achieved the rank of sergeant first class in the Army in the Korean War, serving from 1953 to 1954.

He married Mary Quinn on June 11, 1955, in Murdock. They farmed north of Murdock until 1963 when he started working at the Murdock Farmers Elevator. He was promoted in 1966 and managed the Murdock elevator and later, United Farmers Elevators for 27 years. After he retired, he worked seasonally for Crop Mate and WestCon delivering fertilizer. He was a member of the VFW and the VFW Rifle Guard.

He is survived by his daughters: Annette (and Gary) Johnson of Moorhead, Linda Olson (and Dave Finck) of Verndale, Sandy (and Steve) Olinger of Carver, Cathy (and Jerry) Skindelien of Sunburg, Jan (and Shawn) Bolin of Savage and Nancy (and Troy) Van Zee of Fargo, N.D.; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and his sister: Arlene Kellner of Benson.

He was preceded in death by his wife and seven siblings.
