WASHINGTON (AP) — The Consumer Product Safety Commission on Wednesday issued a recall for about 327 Polaris off-highway vehicles, because of a defect that could possibly cause a crash.

The commission said on its website that the throttle on the 2013 Polaris Ranger 400 vehicles could malfunction, which could cause the driver to lose control and possibly crash. No injuries have been reported.

The green and gray vehicles were sold at Polaris Industries Inc. dealerships across the country from July through September for about $8,300.

The effected vehicles have the model number “R13RH45AG” and VIN numbers between “4XARH45A3D4726305” and “4XARH45A7DE648444.” Not all VIN numbers in the range are included in the recall, the CPSC said.

The commission said consumers should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact Polaris to schedule a free repair. Polaris, which is based in Medina, Minn., is also contacting its customers directly.

Polaris has a toll-free telephone number at 888-704-5290.
