GRANITE FALLS -- Two people were injured Sunday afternoon when a motorcycle collided with a deer that came up out of the ditch.
Two people were treated and released at Granite Falls Hospital. Driver Bradley Monson, 52, of Granite Falls and passenger Tracy Sherod, 47, no address available, were not wearing helmets, according to the report from the State Patrol. The crash was reported at 2:15 p.m. Sunday.
According to a release from the Minnesota State Patrol, the 2005 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was eastbound on Highway 212 one mile east of Granite Falls. The deer came up out of the south ditch, and the motorcycle struck the deer.
SPICER -- A 25-year-old man from Sisseton, S.D., was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespassing at Zorbaz, 159 Lake Ave. S., at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.
ATWATER -- A fire was reported Saturday morning along the north side of U.S. Highway 12 about a mile west of Atwater. The Atwater Fire Department was paged to the fire and learned it was a controlled burn.
KANDIYOHI -- A swather was reported on fire Sunday afternoon in the 900 block of 71st Street Northeast.
WILLMAR -- A grass fire was reported early Sunday afternoon by a power pole near the intersection of County Road 27 and 15th Street Northwest.
WILLMAR -- A Willmar man reported that another man came to his Lakeland Drive residence at about 6 p.m. Friday and punched him in the face. The incident is under investigation.
WILLMAR -- A homeowner in the 1700 block of Willmar Avenue Southwest reported Saturday evening that a large branch from a boulevard tree had fallen and landed on two cars and a part of his home.
WILLMAR -- A blue Chevrolet parked in the 600 block of Julii Street Southeast had its left rear tire slashed sometime between late Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning.
