Arrest

WILLMAR -- A Willmar teenager was arrested Friday for fourth-degree driving while impaired and for no proof of insurance after the vehicle he was driving side-swiped a moving vehicle while driving on Lakeland Drive. The driver of the second vehicle followed the 18-year-old to a gas station, where the teen was arrested. A second teen in the car was arrested for underage consumption.

Theft

KANDIYOHI -- Unspecified items were reported stolen from a construction trailer that was located in the 7000 block of 71st Street Northeast. The incident was reported Monday morning

SPICER -- A 5-by-7-foot U.S. flag with custom pole and bracket was reported stolen Monday from the 9000 block of North Shore Drive.

n Michael John Wortham, 48, of Atwater, made his first court appearance Monday on a felony charge of domestic assault.

A public defender was appointed. Unconditional bail was set at $25,000 and conditional bail was set at $10,000.

According to the police report, the Atwater Police Department was called to a residence Friday night after a woman said Wortham had struck her in the face with the back of his hand.

Police said Wortham was uncooperative and appeared to be intoxicated.

Wortham's next court appearance is Aug. 30.
