Man hurt in rollover

in Meeker County

LITCHFIELD -- A Litchfield man was injured shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday when his 1995 Honda Civic struck a tree in the north ditch of 230th Street, east of Minnesota Highway 22.

Alan Boll, 64, was transported by Gold Cross Ambulance to the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, according to the Meeker County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office and the Litchfield Rescue and Fire and Gold Cross Ambulance responded.

The crash is under investigation by the Sheriff's Office.

Theft

WILLMAR -- A resident on the 1300 block of 39th Street Northwest, Willmar, reported Thursday that the Internet router installed by his communication's provider had been stolen.

Gang graffiti

WILLMAR -- Gang tagging graffiti was discovered Thursday morning on a couple of structures on the 1300 block of 19th Avenue Southwest Willmar.

Burglary

GROVE CITY -- The Meeker County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of a burglary discovered early Tuesday morning at Carlson Meats in Grove City.

Safe and Sober campaign

LITCHFIELD -- Meeker County Sheriff Jeff Norlin announced that the department will be joining hundreds of law enforcement agencies throughout Minnesota in an effort to reduce the number of impaired drivers on Minnesota roads. The upcoming Safe and Sober enhanced enforcement of driving while impaired is going to be starting mid-August and running into Labor Day. Participating departments will be have officers and deputies out on extra patrol, focusing on preventing and arresting impaired drivers. Meeker County deputies will be funded through a special grant administered by the state Office of Traffic Safety.

Kandiyohi County

n Stephanie Maye Reyna, 31, of Kerkhoven, made her first appearance Wednesday on felony charges of theft by check and issuance of dishonored checks in District Court in Willmar.

The court set unconditional bail at $10,000 but allowed for her conditional release on her own recognizance.

The complaint alleges that she wrote six checks totaling $696.64 to four different businesses in Willmar between May 18 and July 1. The checks were purportedly written on the account of Stephanie Reyna at Wells Fargo Bank, but the bank reported no such account existed, the complaint stated.

The defendant has a 2009 conviction for financial transaction card fraud, according to the complaint.
