KANDIYOHI -- A hot tub was vandalized and items were taken from a shed and placed in the hot tub at a residence in the 200 block of Third Street North in Kandiyohi, according to a report given Sunday to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
WILLMAR -- Willmar Police said two Samsung Galaxy tablets were taken from a residence in the 500 block of 10th Street Southwest. There was no sign of forced entry. The theft was reported Saturday.
WILLMAR -- A 19-year-old Willmar man was arrested Saturday night at the 19th Avenue Grill and Lounge for liquor consumption by a person under 21 and for trespass-refusal to depart. Willmar Police were called to the location at 11:40 p.m.
In another incident, police arrested an 18-year-old Willmar man for fleeing a peace officer by means other than a motor vehicle and for liquor consumption by a person under 21. The man was arrested at 2:21 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Lake Avenue and High Avenue Northeast.
WILLMAR -- Willmar Police investigated an assault involving two men at 5:42 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Becker Avenue Southeast. One man was 23 and the other was 27; both are from Willmar. No other information was available. Willmar Ambulance Service was also called.
The Minnesota State Patrol said five people were injured, one critically, in a two-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 15 and 240th Street northwest of Dassel in Meeker County.
The State Patrol said a 2003 Chevy Impala driven by Sophie Hendrickson, 18, of Menahga was westbound on 240th Street and ran a stop sign, colliding with a 2005 Ford F150 pickup southbound on Highway 15. The pickup was driven by Shari Staude, 61, of Alden.
The Patrol said Hendrickson and one passenger, Dana Niska, 16, of Menahga were treated for non-life threatening injuries at St. Cloud Hospital. Another passenger, Rebekka Miller, 17, of Buffalo was in critical condition at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
Staude and Lee Coultas, 68, of Cordova, Md., were treated at St. Cloud Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Meeker County Sheriff's Office assisted at the scene.
