Theft

RAYMOND -- The theft of a boat gas can was reported around 3 p.m. Wednesday along Cofield Street.

Arrests

BELGRADE -- A 52-year-old man was arrested on driving while impaired charges around 9 p.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Highway 71 and 247th Avenue Northeast. Charges are pending the results of tests by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

WILLMAR -- A 17-year-old male was arrested on charges of underage drinking and driving and his 17-year-old passenger was cited for underage consumption after a one-vehicle crash around 9:45 a.m. Thursday along Civic Center Drive Northeast. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a light pole.

n Michael Sanders Hurd, 22, of Forest Lake, made his first appearance Wednesday on a felony charge of contempt of court for failing to appear in court in a trial after he'd been subpoenaed to testify.

Unconditional bail was set at $1,000. His next appearance is Nov. 5.

According to the complaint, Hurd failed to appear on Oct. 16 for a trial in Kandiyohi County District Court. He had been served by a subpoena by Washington County Sheriff's deputies ordering him to appear at 8:30 a.m. that day.
