Kandiyohi County

Geoffrey Alan Irwin, 21, of Willmar, made his first appearance Wednesday on a second-degree drug sale charge for allegedly selling 8 grams of methamphetamine to a CEE-VI Drug Task Force informant on Sept. 27.

Unconditional bail was set at $50,000. His next appearance is Dec. 27.

According to the complaint, the informant informed task force agents that he could buy 14 grams of meth from Irwin and a woman for $1,000. The informant was provided the money and a digital scale and met Irwin and the woman on a street corner on the southwest side of the city. They traveled to another location before going to the Lakeview Inn, where the woman gave Irwin a cigarette box. Irwin gave the box to the informant, who later turned over the drugs. The informant also weighed the drugs and asked Irwin to bring him the rest of the 14 grams or return some money. Irwin did neither. The informant also identified Irwin and the woman by photo.
