Phone scam

WILLMAR — A Willmar woman reported at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday that she suspected being the target of a telephone scam. The woman said she got a call saying that if she gave $273, she would receive $7,000.

- Martin Bravo, Jr., 19, of Willmar made his first appearance Friday on a felony charge of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree.

According to the complaint filed against him, when Bravo is alleged to have had sexual contact with a girl who was 14 years old. Bravo was 18 years old at the time of the incident.

The complaint alleges that paternity tests show Bravo is the father of a child born in August to the victim.

Unconditional bail for Bravo was set at $25,000 and conditional bail at $1,000.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 31.

n Jose Daniel Bobadilla, 28, of Willmar made a first appearance Friday on a felony charge of fraudulent use of a credit card.

According to the complaint filed against him, Bobadilla used a credit card that didn’t belong to him to make 11 transactions in January of 2012 with total charges of $278.89.

The police report indicates others may have also used the card that had been reported missing by the owner.

Unconditional bail was set at $5,000.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Dec. 31.
