Willmar woman, child hurt in Brooten crash
BROOTEN — A Willmar woman and a 4-year-old child were treated at Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood for injuries suffered in a two-vehicle head-on crash around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday in Brooten.
According to the State Patrol, Debra A. Fraser, 41, of Willmar, was driving a 2000 Plymouth Neon westbound on State Highway 55, near the intersection with Stearns County Road 8, lost control of the vehicle, slid into oncoming traffic and collided with a 2001 Chevy Suburban driven by Virginia Letourneau, 70, of New London, causing the Chevy to spin into the ditch.
Fraser and her passenger, Alexander Fraser, 4, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Letourneau and her passenger, Sarah Lockwood, 47, of Spicer, had no apparent injuries. They were also taken to Glacial Ridge Hospital.
Also responding were the Belgrade and Brooten police departments.
Theft
HAWICK — A theft was reported around 1:45 p.m. Sunday along the 21000 block of 149th Street Northeast.
WILLMAR — Theft of items from vehicles and damage to a vehicle was reported around 12:45 p.m. Sunday along the 1100 block of Florence Lane Southwest.
KANDIYOHI — The theft of money was reported around 11:50 p.m. Monday along Fifth Street North.
WILLMAR — The theft of a baby monitor was reported around 9:15 a.m. Tuesday along the 1400 block of Fifth Street Southwest.
Burglary
WILLMAR — A burglary was reported around 7:25 p.m. Tuesday along the 800 block of Seventh Street Southwest.
WILLMAR — A burglary was reported around 10 a.m. Wednesday along the 500 block of Trott Avenue Southwest.
Property damage
RAYMOND — Damage to mailboxes was reported around 3 p.m. Sunday along the 9300 block of 75th Street Southwest.
WILLMAR — Damage to windows was reported around 9 a.m. Monday at the Willmar Public Library, 410 Fifth St. S.W. The windows had apparently been shattered by BB pellets.
WILLMAR — Damage to a building was reported around 1:20 p.m. Monday along the 1500 block of First Street South.
