One killed, one injured in Pope County accident
GLENWOOD — One driver was killed and another driver was injured in a two-vehicle accident around 7:45 a.m. Monday north of Glenwood.
The State Patrol says the injured driver is Haley Klimek, 19, of Lowry, who was driving a 2005 Chevy Silverado eastbound on Pope County Road 28 collided with a 2013 Nissan Maxima, which was northbound on State Highway 29, in a broadside-type accident.
Klimek was taken to the Glenwood Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
The identity of the deceased driver is not expected to be released until this morning.
The Pope County Sheriff’s office assisted at the scene.
No injuries in fog-related school bus crash near Danube
DANUBE — No one was injured in a two-vehicle crash involving a school bus around 7:25 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Renville County Road 1 and 810th Avenue, about 2 miles south of Danube.
According to the Renville County Sheriff’s Office, a 2010 school bus, driven by Gerald Wayne Mulder, 65, of Renville, and a 2001 International truck-tractor towing an empty tanker trailer, driven by David Henry Mcclain, 36, of Willmar, were traveling northbound on Renville County Road 1.
The bus driver, Mulder, had missed his turn because of the fog and had stopped on the roadway. Due to the foggy conditions, Mcclain did not see the bus until just prior to impact. Mcclain applied his breaks and attempted to avoid a collision, but the truck-tractor collided with the back of the bus causing significant damage to both vehicles.
The school bus was occupied by two children at the time of the crash. Neither of the drivers nor children on the bus sustained any injuries.
Also responding were the Minnesota State Patrol, the Olivia Police Department, the Danube Police and First Responders.
Arrest
SPICER — A 41-year-old man was arrested for carrying while under the influence around 9:30 p.m. Sunday along Fourth Avenue.

- Yolanda Maria Radzhabov, 23, of Willmar, made her first appearance Monday on a second-degree drug sale charge for her role in allegedly selling 8 grams of methamphetamine to a CEE-VI Drug Task Force informant on Sept. 27.
Unconditional bail was set at $15,000. Her next appearance is March 14.
Radzhabov and Geoffrey Alan Irwin, 21, of Willmar, were both charged in the case. His next appearance is Thursday.
According to the complaint, the informant informed task force agents that he could buy 14 grams of meth from Irwin and Radzhabov for $1,000. The informant was provided the money and a digital scale and met Irwin and Radzhabov on a street corner on the southwest side of the city. They traveled to another location before going to the Lakeview Inn, where Radzhabov gave Irwin a cigarette box. Irwin gave the box to the informant, who later turned over the drugs to agents The informant also weighed the drugs and asked Irwin to bring him the rest of the 14 grams or return some money. Irwin did neither. The informant also identified Irwin and Radzhabov by photo.
