Level III offender moving

to Willmar neighborhood

WILLMAR — Timothy James Juetten, 62, will establish residence in Willmar upon his release on Oct. 30 into the community.

According to the Willmar Police Department, Juetten is classified as a Level III predatory offender. His registered address will be in the vicinity of Minnesota Avenue and Second Street Southwest.

Juetten has a history of sexual contact with females age 12 and 13. He was known to his victims. He will have served his sentence and is not wanted by police.

The community notification is required when a Level III offender moves into a community or has indicated their intent to move into a community. The Department of Corrections identifies Level III offenders as having a higher chance at reoffending.

Horse killed, passenger

injured in crash

EDEN VALLEY — A horse was killed and a woman injured in an early morning crash around 5:25 a.m. Friday southeast of Eden Valley.

According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, James Doll, 51, of rural Watkins was driving a 2005 Dodge minivan north on County Road 34 when the vehicle struck a horse that had run into the roadway.

The horse was thrown into the front end of a parked 2013 Chevy Avalanche occupied by Sonja Harms, 54, of Litchfield.

A passenger in the Doll vehicle, Linda Doll, 54, was taken to Meeker Memorial Hospital by ambulance for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The horse was killed in the incident. The animal and other horses that were loose in the area are owned by Robert Kelly of rural Watkins. Kelly removed the dead horse and rounded up the rest of the horses.

The incident is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

Also responding were the Eden Valley fire and rescue departments and the Watkins Ambulance.

Theft

WILLMAR — The theft of a cell phone was reported around noon Thursday along the 500 block of Willmar Avenue Southeast.

WILLMAR — The theft of two backpacks was reported around 12:10 p.m. Thursday along the 600 block of Pacific Avenue Southwest.
