Vehicle tipped, righted

WILLMAR — Police are investigating an incident in which a vehicle had been tipped upside down, and then up right again by individuals at a parking lot on the 13000 block of 24th Street Northwest in Willmar at 2:40 a.m. on Sunday. Officers were summoned to a parking lot at apartments near Ridgewater College by an original report that several people were destroying a vehicle.

Officers found six males at the scene and a car that had been turned upright after having been tipped upside down. The individuals at the scene told officers they had turned the car upright to make sure no one was in it.

The vehicle was towed to the city impound lot.

Assault

NEW LONDON — Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a 33-year-old man “out of control” at a location on the 3700 block of 198th Avenue Northwest, New London, at 8:06 a.m. on Sunday.

Fight

WILLMAR — Police officers responded shortly before 1 a.m. on Saturday to reports of a fight at the Willmar VFW on the 1100 block of U.S. Highway 12 East.

Two male suspects left before officers arrived, but officers were able to locate and question one of the men about the incident.

Trespasser returns, cited again

WILLMAR — A 51-year-old man arrested on Thursday for trespassing at an area business was arrested for the offense at the same location on Saturday.

The suspect was reported outside the Little Duke’s Store on the 1300 block of Fifth Street Southeast, Willmar, around 8:26 p.m. and officers cited him again for trespass.

Burglaries

WILLMAR — Police are investigating the theft of items from a storage unit on the 1000 block of County Road 9 Northeast on Sunday.

ATWATER — A resident on the 13000 block of 30th Avenue Northeast, Atwater, reported on Friday that several items were stolen from a building including a chainsaw and welding equipment.

Attempted break in

WILLMAR — A driver for a business discovered that someone had attempted to break in the back door of the business on the 1500 block of First Street South on Sunday morning.

Pry marks and other damage were apparent on the door and a window in it, but entry had not been gained.

Fire call

WILLMAR — Burned food was responsible for a fire call on the 300 block of Fourth Street Southwest in Willmar at 5:14 a.m. on Sunday.
