Sex offender moving in Willmar

WILLMAR — The Willmar Police Department has been notified that Matthew Scott Rorvig’s address will be changing to the 500 block of Benson Avenue Southwest.


The change was noted Monday morning on the Police Department’s Facebook page.

According to previous information released about Rorvig, the Level III predatory offender gave notification that he was moving to 900 block of Trott Avenue Southwest in February.

Rorvig, 24, is not wanted by the police and he has served his sentence. He has a history of sexual contact with females from age 3 to 15 who were known to him.

Watkins woman killed in Cass County crash

BRAINERD — A 38-year-old Watkins woman was killed in a three-vehicle crash reported around 2 p.m. Sunday along State Highway 64 in Cass County.

According to the State Patrol, Jackie Boulton was a passenger in a 1997 Ford Ranger pickup driven by Michael Boulton, 35, of Watkins. The pickup was struck head-on by a 2005 Ford pickup driven by Jeffrey Grose, 43, of Shoreview.

Grose’s vehicle also struck a 2011 Chevy pickup driven by Daron Butzlaff, 48, of St. Cloud. Butzlaff and his passenger, David Butzlaff, 40, of Clearwater, were not injured.

Grose’s injury status was not documented. He was taken to the Lakewood Hospital in Staples.

Michael Boulton sustained a serious injury and was also taken to Lakewood Hospital.

Also responding to the crash were the Cass County Sheriff’s Office and the Pillager Police Department.

Hutchinson man hurt in motorcycle crash

LITCHFIELD — A 20-year-old Hutchinson man was taken by a private vehicle to Meeker Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash around 9:20 p.m. Sunday.

According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, Jaden Plath was driving a 2005 Suzuki on 110th Street near County Road 26 when a deer came out of the ditch in front of him. In an attempt to avoid hitting the deer, Plath laid down the motorcycle, causing the Suzuki to roll over.


PENNOCK — The theft of a baby calf was reported around 11:45 a.m. Monday along the 10000 block of County Road 27 Northwest.


SPICER — The burglary of a garage was reported around 6:10 p.m. Sunday along Lake Avenue South.
