Juvenile passenger,driver to hospital after 19th Avenue crash

WILLMAR -- Two people were taken to the hospital after a two-vehicle accident around 4:40 p.m. Tuesday along 19th Avenue Southeast.

According to the crash report from the Willmar Police Department, Carole Palm, 70, of Willmar, was driving a 2001 Ford that collided with a 1996 Ford Explorer driven by Wanda Moen, 28, of New London. Palm was taken to the hospital by private vehicle, and a passenger in Moen's vehicle, Namira Moen, 8, was taken by ambulance to Rice Memorial Hospital.

The crash happened just east of First Street, at the entrances to the Kandi Mall and Cub Foods and Culver's restaurant.

Shoplifting

WILLMAR -- A 44-year-old Little Falls man was cited for shoplifting around 3 p.m. Tuesday at Super Wal-Mart, 700 19th Ave. S.E.

ID theft

WILLMAR -- A case of identity theft was reported around 8 p.m. Tuesday along the 900 block of Third Street Southeast. The caller reported someone was using a family member's name.

WILLMAR -- A case of identity theft was reported around noon Wednesday along the 300 block of Fourth Street Southeast. The caller reported someone was using their identification to work in California.

Forgery

WILLMAR -- A case of check forgery was reported around 12:20 p.m. Wednesday at Cash Wise Foods, 1300 Fifth St. S.E.

Arrests

WILLMAR -- A 43-year-old Willmar man was arrested around 5:40 p.m. Tuesday after the theft of 55 bundles of shingles was reported along the 500 block of 16th Street Southwest. The singles were located in Regency Estates East and returned to the owner by the police department.
