WILLMAR -- A case of credit card fraud was reported around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday at the Law Enforcement Center.
WILLMAR -- A case of credit card fraud was reported around 9:50 a.m. Tuesday along Horseshoe Drive. The citizen reported their credit card was used in the Twin Cities and in Iowa.
- Mari Jo Besser, 28, of Atwater, made her first appearance Tuesday on a felony charge of issuing a dishonored check for allegedly writing more than $500 in bad checks to a Willmar gas station.
Unconditional bail was set at $5,000 with conditional release allowed on her personal recognizance. Her next appearance is March 16.
According to the complaint, on Dec. 17, personnel at the Holiday station in Willmar contacted police regarding seven checks, for a total of $544, written by Besser and returned by her bank for insufficient funds. The checks were allegedly written in September and October.
