Car stops shortof building, man taken to hospital

WILLMAR -- An 80-year-old Willmar man was taken by ambulance to Rice Memorial Hospital after a one-vehicle crash around 2 p.m. Wednesday along the 1600 block of Fifth Street Southwest.


According to the Willmar Police crash report, Everett John Klein was driving a 1994 Buick that left the road, traveled over multiple snow banks and stopped inches from an apartment building but did not strike it. A medical condition may have been a factor in the incident.

The citizen who reported the crash reported the car was on fire, but it was steam from the melting snow under the car.

Also responding to the crash were the Willmar Fire Department, Ambulance and Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad.

Man seeks medical treatment after rollover crash

WILLMAR -- A 29-year-old Clara City man was taken by private party to receive medical attention after a one-vehicle rollover crash around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday along 45th Avenue Southwest south of Willmar.

According to the crash report, Curtis D. Behrens was driving a 1988 Ford Ranger, lost control on ice and rolled the vehicle. He may have sustained a shoulder injury.


WILLMAR -- The theft of gas and damage to a gas tank cap was reported around 10 a.m. Wednesday along the 1100 block of High Avenue Northeast. A total of $75 worth of gas was missing and $50 in damage to the cap.


RAYMOND -- A 52-year-old man was arrested on charges of property damage and domestic assault around 1 a.m. Wednesday along Fourth Street Southwest.

WILLMAR -- A 50-year-old man was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct around 11:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Rice Memorial Hospital emergency room after he became unruly with officers attempting to get him treatment for intoxication.


WILLMAR -- Money missing from a checking account was reported around 4 p.m. Tuesday along the 300 block of Fourth Street Southwest.

Property damage

WILLMAR -- Graffiti was reported around 2:45 p.m. Tuesday along the 1100 block of Business 71 Northeast.
