WILLMAR -- A motorist was injured Friday morning when she pulled onto North Business 71 and was struck from behind by an oncoming car.

The crash happened at 8 a.m. at the intersection of North Business 71 and Kandiyohi County Road 24.

Dawn Lammers, 27, of Willmar was treated at the scene by Willmar Ambulance personnel.

The other driver, Derek Bluhm, 19, of Clara City was not injured.

Authorities said Lammers apparently was making a left turn from County Road 24 onto southbound Highway 71 when she was struck by Bluhm, who also was southbound.

REDWOOD FALLS -- A 15-year-old driver was injured early Thursday morning in a one-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 71 south of Redwood Falls.

The Minnesota State Patrol identified him as Taylor J. Maguire of Redwood Falls. His injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.

Maguire was reportedly rounding a curve when his SUV left the road, went into a field, started to roll over and then struck a pile of rocks and vaulted, coming to rest on its wheels.

In addition to the State Patrol, the Redwood County Sheriff's Department and North Ambulance of Redwood Falls were at the scene.

WILLMAR -- A parked car was damaged in a hit-and-run reported Thursday to Willmar Police.

The crash happened at about 7:45 p.m. in the 1000 block of Second Street Southeast. Witnesses said a black truck with a white male driver was involved.

Arrests

NEW LONDON -- A 15-year-old girl is in custody at the Prairie Lakes youth detention center after allegedly slashing her mother with a knife during an altercation early Friday morning. Charges of assault and interfering with a 911 call are pending against her.

The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Department was called to the family's rural New London home at 1:20 a.m.

The mother, who received several slice wounds from the knife, was treated at the scene by New London ambulance personnel.

Thefts

DASSEL -- Two horses were reported missing early Friday morning from a rural Dassel home on 700th Avenue.

One of the horses is a whitish-golden quarter horse. The other is a dark brown bay with a black mane.

The Meeker County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
