Seveal people hurt in SUV-van crash

WILLMAR -- Four people were treated and released from Rice Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash around 3 p.m. Wednesday south of Belgrade.

According to the State Patrol, a Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Jill Twemlow, 42, of Lufkin, Texas, was struck from behind by a Kia Sorento sport utility vehicle driven by Heather Carlson, 27, of Fergus Falls.

No injury information was available on Twemlow, but three passengers in her vehicle were all taken by ambulance to Rice Memorial Hospital. They included Michael Roy Smith, 50, Jaquita Yvette Smith, 48, and Charles Henry McLemore, 44.

Carlson was treated and released from Rice Hospital and then booked into the Kandiyohi County Jail on charges of driving while impaired and criminal vehicular operation.

Burglary

WILLMAR -- A burglary and the theft of money and jewelry was reported around 3:40 p.m. Wednesday along the 400 block of 30th Avenue Northwest. The value of the jewelry was estimated at $3,000 and $80 in cash was missing.

Arrests

WILLMAR -- A 73-year-old Willmar man was arrested around 4 p.m. Wednesday along Horseshoe Drive Northeast. The charge is an allegedly violation of an order for protection.

WILLMAR -- A 24-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman were arrested around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday after CEE-VI Drug Task Force agents served a search warrant on a home along the 1400 block of Lakeland Drive Northeast.

Theft

WILLMAR -- A gas drive-off theft was reported around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at Holiday, 817 Litchfield Ave. S.W. The unpaid bill was $43.50.

WILLMAR -- The theft of a wallet from a vehicle was reported around midnight Wednesday near the intersection of Kandiyohi Avenue and Second Street Southwest. The wallet was alleged taken from a vehicle.

Property damage

WILLMAR -- Damage to a vehicle was reported around 8:15 a.m. Thursday along Technology Drive Northeast.

SPICER -- Damage to a mailbox and lawn ornaments was reported around 8:45 a.m. Thursday along the 4200 block of 113th Avenue Northeast.
