MORTON -- A Bloomington woman was seriously injured in a crash Friday afternoon at Highway 71 and Redwood County Road 2 near Morton.
The Minnesota State Patrol said Susan Kludt, 61, was airlifted from the scene to Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
The other driver, Charles G. Danielson, 56, of Danube was not injured.
The crash happened shortly before 2 p.m. The State Patrol said Danielson, who was southbound, apparently turned in front of Kludt's vehicle, which was northbound. Kludt's vehicle went into the ditch and traveled 50 yards before going through a fence and dropping more than 25 feet onto railroad tracks, landing on its roof.
NEW LONDON -- The Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office is investigating a burglary reported on Thanksgiving Day at a home in the 300 block of First Avenue Northwest in New London.
A neighbor reported seeing two suspects, a male and a female, walk out of the house with electronics. The incident was reported to the sheriff's office at around 5:10 p.m. Thursday.
WILLMAR -- Traces of marshmallow from a Thanksgiving dish of sweet potatoes caused a minor fire reported at 11:30 a.m. Friday at a home in the 1700 block of 22nd Avenue Southwest.
The homeowner managed to put out the fire before Willmar firefighters could be activated for the call. The fire department sent a truck anyway to check the scene and make sure the fire was extinguished.
