Kandiyohi County

- Jennifer Rebecca Wendt, 37, of New London, was sentenced Tuesday to three days in jail, five years of probation and a $750 fine on a felony charge of storing methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of a child.

Wendt was given credit for three days served in jail and was ordered to complete and follow the recommendations of a chemical use evaluation.

As part of a plea agreement, three felony charges of second- and fifth-degree drug possession were dismissed.

The charges were filed after CEE-VI Drug Task Force agents and Kandiyohi County sheriff's deputies executed a search warrant Feb. 10 on a home along Oakdale Avenue in Lake Lillian. The focus of the warrant was narcotics and drug paraphernalia. Wendt and two men were located in the home, along with two children, ages 9 years and 5 months. The search revealed plastic bags of meth, a total of 9.6 grams as tested by the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia, including some in the bedroom where the children slept.
