According to the complaint, a Willmar Police detective began investigating a sexual assault on Feb. 16. The report included that a now-16-year-old girl had a baby born in January 2010 and Sanchez was the father of the child. The child was conceived when the girl was 14 and Sanchez was 19 years old.
Both were interviewed and Sanchez admitted he was the father of the child. A paternity test showed that it is 99.99 percent likely that Sanchez is the father. In January 2011, he was adjudicated as the father in a family court case.
