ST. PAUL -- Jerry Rosendahl, the Minnesota State Fire Marshal, reminds citizens to change the batteries in their smoke alarms when they change their clocks on Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
Daylight Saving Time arrives in Minnesota at 2 a.m. Sunday. The process of changing the clocks takes a few minutes, Rosendahl said in a news release. Checking the batteries in the smoke alarms takes even less time and could save lives.
