n Onesimo Juarez Jr., 54, of Willmar, pleaded guilty Thursday to a felony charge of failing to comply with the requirements of a predatory offender.

He will be sentenced July 20.

The charge was filed May 14. According to the complaint, Juarez is on probation for violating a harassment restraining order and required to register as a predatory offender because of a 2003 conviction for false imprisonment. He filed a change of information form on April 3 listing his residence as the Viking Motel, 616 N. Highway 71, but when probation officials went to the hotel on May 1, he was not living there and hadn't filed the paperwork notifying law enforcement of his current residence.

n Martin William Danielson, 21, of Willmar, made his first appearance Friday on a felony charge of failing to comply with the requirements of a predatory offender.

Unconditional bail was set at $30,000. His next appearance is June 25.

According to the complaint, a detective with the Willmar Police department was conducting the quarterly predatory offender registration checks and noted that Danielson registered an address in Willmar's southeast quadrant in May. Danielson is required to register because of his August 2007 conviction for kidnapping.

The detective went to the address on April 2 and learned from a woman living there that Danielson had lived at the residence for a short time in January and had moved out. The woman said she didn't know where Danielson was living, but didn't think he was in Willmar.

n Darren Gregory Melges, 40, of Spicer, pleaded not guilty Friday to two felony charges, for terroristic threats and second-degree assault, a gross misdemeanor charge of driving while impaired and two misdemeanor charges for disorderly conduct.

His next appearance is Aug. 6.

The second-degree assault was added to the criminal complaint against Melges on June 6.

According to the complaint, Melges was arrested at his home in connection with a March 29 disturbance at Mel's Sport Shop in Spicer. He allegedly threatened to harm a male relative and a female employee at the business.

Melges also allegedly physically assaulted the male relative. While in the parking lot, he allegedly started driving his pickup directly at the female employee, making her think he was going to run her down before he swerved to the side.

n Katrina Marie Hanson, 26, of Willmar, pleaded guilty Thursday to a felony charge of fifth-degree drug sales for selling 33.2 grams of marijuana to a CEE-VI Drug Task

No sentencing date was set, but a chemical dependency evaluation was ordered by District Judge Michael J. Thompson.

The charge was filed after Feb. 8, 2011, when the informant told CEE-VI agents that they could buy marijuana from Hanson and the purchase of an ounce of marijuana for $375 was set up. The informant purchased the drugs from Hanson at a residence in northwest Willmar.
