WILLMAR — Willmar police are investigating a spate of spray-painting reported over the weekend at several different residential and business locations around town.

The vandalism took place sometime late Friday night or early Saturday morning. Buildings, garage doors and fences were among the targets of the graffiti. It was unclear whether any of the incidents were related.

At least five different locations were involved: the neighborhood of Campbell Avenue and 10th Street Northwest, the 400 block of Olena Avenue Southeast, a business on U.S. Highway 12 East and a mobile home in the Regency West Park.


BELGRADE — The tenant of a rural Belgrade property that was recently repossessed reported Sunday to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office that about $6,500 worth of personal items have apparently been stolen.

The missing items included tires, aluminum rims, a propane gas tank, three picnic tables and other yard furniture. The theft happened at an address on Highway 55 Northeast near Belgrade.
