Burglary

BLOMKEST — Miscellaneous tools, fuel and batteries were taken from a location in the 17000 block of U.S. Highway 71 South following a burglary. Entry was gained by cutting a hole in the side of the shed. The incident was investigated Wednesday by the Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office.

Theft

NEW LONDON — The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office investigated the theft of $500 in fishing equipment from a location in the 12000 block of 212nd Avenue Northeast, New London. The theft was reported Tuesday evening.

Assault

WILLMAR — Willmar police officers arrested and charged a 25-year-old Willmar man with first-degree burglary and fifth-degree assault in connection with an incident at 10:44 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of High Avenue Northeast. Police said the man was known to the victims and pushed his way into the residence, hitting the victims. The suspect took a knife and fled but was apprehended by officers.
