Boy shot by BB gun
WILLMAR -- Police officers were called around 8:20 p.m. Thursday to Rice Memorial Hospital, where a 12-year-old boy was being treated for a wound caused by a shot from a BB gun.
The boy told officers he and three other boys were walking along Pleasantview Drive Southeast when he heard something, felt pain and saw that he had been shot and the BB was still in his arm. The boy did not see who fired the shot or where it came from.
