According to the initial report, the victim told police he had smelled marijuana in the building and knocked on the door of an apartment from where the smell was coming. The suspect answered the door and assaulted the caretaker.
SPICER –– Items were reported stolen Tuesday afternoon from a fish house on Nest Lake. The items included a propane cylinder, deep cell marine battery and miscellaneous fishing tackle.
ATWATER –– The Kandiyohi County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a 49-year-old Spicer man who left the scene of a one-vehicle crash Tuesday night on County Road 4 Southeast and First Avenue East.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the incident was reported around 6:30 p.m. by a witness who saw the accident and reportedly saw the bloodied driver, who is believed to be the sole occupant of the car.
By the time the ambulance and deputies arrived, the driver had left with another individual to a residence.
Nobody answered the door when police knocked.
The vehicle, a black Chevy Impala, was towed from the scene. The accident is under investigation.
