Grove City woman hurt in New Year’s Day crash
MORTON — An 81-year-old Grove City woman was taken to a metro-area hospital for treatment of injuries suffered in a one-vehicle rollover crash Tuesday morning along U.S. Highway 71 near Morton.
According to the State Patrol, Evelyn M. Chellin was driving a 2001 Oldsmobile Bravada northbound, drifted off the roadway and lost control, causing the vehicle to roll over. Chellin was wearing her seat belt.
The State Patrol did not specify to which hospital Chellin was taken for treatment. Also responding were the Morton Police Department, Renville County Sheriff’s Office and North Ambulance and North Air.
Stabbing reported in Litchfield
LITCHFIELD — The Meeker County Sheriff’s Office and Litchfield Police Department responded to a report of a stabbing on Saturday afternoon.
The incident was reported at 3:53 p.m. at a residence on North Austin Avenue in Litchfield. Law enforcement, Litchfield Rescue Squad and Gold Cross ambulance responded and assisted in searching for the victim who had left the scene prior to arrival.
The victim was later located by the Litchfield Police Department and no medical attention was needed.
