The Minnesota State Patrol said Dylan Hildahl, 23, of Sacred Heart apparently lost control of his car and crossed the center line, sideswiping a semi tractor driven by Daniel Turbes, 72, of Fairfax.
Hildahl suffered injuries that were described as nonlife-threatening. The semi driver was not hurt.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m. Friday. Along with state troopers, the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
ArrestsWILLMAR — A juvenile suspect was arrested Thursday night for allegedly using a knife to threaten a loss prevention officer. The incident happened at Target and was investigated by Willmar police. (See related story.)WILLMAR — A 20-year-old man was arrested Friday in connection with a theft reported in the 1200 block of 24th Street Northwest. A resident there told Willmar Police that a television was stolen and a car was broken into sometime overnight.
Grenades foundWILLMAR — Two grenades unexpectedly showed up in a load of items dropped off at the Willmar Goodwill store, prompting a call Friday to Willmar police.After investigating, a police officer concluded neither grenade was live. Holes had been drilled into the bottom of both grenades and the explosive material was removed, according to a police report.The officer took both grenades from the store and had them safely destroyed.
