WILLMAR -- A call to police Friday night alerted authorities to two dogs that were not being cared for because their owner is in jail. According to a preliminary report, a relative of the jailed man had been taking care of the dogs until Friday. A neighbor called out of concern for the animals.
Authorities were allowing the inmate to make calls to find someone to care for the dogs. If no one was found, the Humane Society was to be notified.
