Ammonia smell activates emergency crews in Dassel
According to the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office, the smell was determined to be coming from an anhydrous ammonia tank that had been drained earlier in the day and left with the vapor valve open.
The change in temperature caused the tank to start venting, therefore causing the odor.
WILLMAR — A suspected counterfeit $100 bill was reported around 11:50 a.m. Tuesday along the 3300 block of First Street South.
NEW LONDON — The theft of fishing equipment was reported around 4:55 p.m. Monday along the 20000 block of Highway 23 Northeast.
NEW LONDON — Three people, a 28-year-old woman and 39- and 31-year-old men, were arrested when law enforcement officers served a search warrant around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday on a residence along the 17000 block of Highway 23 Frontage Road.
Jacob John Wall, 21, of Kandiyohi, pleaded guilty Tuesday to a felony charge of fifth-degree drug possession for possessing mushrooms and Alprazolam pills in February.
As part of a plea agreement, a fifth-degree drug sale charge will be dismissed. He will be sentenced July 18.
The possession charge was filed after Feb. 27, when Wall was found in a southwest Willmar residence attempting to throw a bag containing the mushrooms and pills behind a door.
The sale charge was filed after Feb. 12, when a CEE-VI Drug Task Force informant purchased 7.8 grams of marijuana from Wall at the same southwest Willmar residence.
