Rose also faces misdemeanor charges of fleeing a peace officer on foot and for driving after revocation, plus a petty misdemeanor for possession of a small amount of marijuana.
According to the complaint, a Kandiyohi County sheriff’s deputy was on patrol around 2:40 a.m. Friday north of Atwater along County Road 2 and saw a vehicle turning onto a gravel road. The deputy followed the vehicle and observed it not using its turn signal and driving onto the grass on the wrong side of the roadway. He attempted to walk away from the deputy before running and then being subdued with multiple shots from a stun gun.
Rose failed several field sobriety tests and was arrested. His blood alcohol content at the Law Enforcement Center was 0.15 percent. The legal limit for driving is 0.08 percent.
He has three prior drunken driving incidents, including Minnesota convictions in September 2008 and June 2013 and a Wisconsin conviction in September 2006.
