Two Litchfield residents arrested for drugsin St. Cloud area

ST. CLOUD -- A 36-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman from Litchfield were arrested on drug charges around 11 a.m. Friday in the parking lot of the Crossroads Shopping Center in Waite Park.

According to a news release from Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner, members of the Central Minnesota Drug and Gang Task Force were alerted by an off-duty officer that man near the mall had a warrant for his arrest.

Officers located Christian John Piepenburg in a vehicle in the parking lot and arrested him. During the arrest, officers allegedly found 3.5 grams of methamphetamine in his possession. A search of the vehicle revealed another 1.5 grams of meth and $500 in cash.

The vehicle owner, Sara Lynn Breitkreutz, was also arrested on fifth-degree controlled substance charges. Both were booked into the county jail and were later released. The vehicle, 1997 Chrysler Sebring and the cash were seized pending forfeiture proceedings.

Property damage

KANDIYOHI -- A case of property damage was reported around 12:45 p.m. Thursday at Kandiyohi Grain Co., 441 N. Atlantic Ave. Someone had entered the business and sprayed fire extinguishers.

Theft

SPICER -- The theft of two ATVs was reported around 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Larry's Power, 182 Progress Way. It appeared that the 1992 and 1993 model year four-wheelers had been hotwired and driven away.

Arrests

WILLMAR -- A 24-year-old Delano man was arrested for driving while impaired around 12:30 a.m. Friday near the intersection of 23rd Street and Seventh Avenue Southeast.

WILLMAR -- A 34-year-old Renville man was arrested for driving while impaired and other traffic offenses around 1:20 a.m. Friday along the 1600 block of U.S. Highway 12.
