WILLMAR -- A man was arrested Friday afternoon after he allegedly broke into the home of a woman who had locked herself in the bedroom. The man faces charges of first-degree burglary, making terroristic threats, criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. According to the initial complaint, the woman called police at 3:31 p.m. and said a man was beating on the door of her home, hollering at her to come out and claiming she'd stolen his iPod. The man's vehicle was towed and he was arrested.
WILLMAR -- A 50-year old man was arrested at 11:54 a.m. Friday for allegedly taking a $68 pair of shoes from JC Penney.
LAKE LILLIAN -- A iPod was reported stolen at 5:01 p.m. Friday from a vehicle that was parked near the Lunchbox Café in Prinsburg.
WILLMAR -- A man was cited for shoplifting at 5:16 p.m. Friday from Runnings Farm and Fleet.
WILLMAR -- A 10-gallon gas can and $30 to $35 worth of gas was reported stolen at 5:36 p.m. Friday from South 71 Veterinary Clinic. The theft occurred sometime within the last three weeks.
SPICER -- A 2005 black Polaris all-terrain vehicle was stolen from the 13000 block of 53rd Street Northeast and later recovered. The owner said he had purchased the four-wheeler the day before it was stolen. Authorities found the vehicle in the ditch at the intersection of Kandiyohi County Roads 9 and 32.
WILLMAR -- A man was arrested at 2:27 p.m. Saturday for allegedly shooting his girlfriend in the leg with a BB gun. The woman was not injured. She told police the man had just bought the gun and was "goofing around" with it when they began arguing and he shot her in the leg. The BBs did not penetrate her skin. He faces charges of making terroristic threats, unlawful discharge of a firearm, second-degree assault and domestic assault.
Loaded gun found
LAKE LILLIAN -- A loaded semi-automatic pistol was found Saturday afternoon on the shoulder of a road in Lake Lillian. The gun, a Kel-Tec P-32, was found on Kandiyohi County Road 8 and Park Avenue.
WILLMAR -- A man faces disorderly conduct and fifth-degree assault charges for throwing furniture and scratching staff at Woodland Centers. The incident was reported at 4:25 p.m. Friday.
Damage to property
WILLMAR -- Damage to the door and a wall of a garage in the 1800 block of Seventh Avenue Southeast was reported at 5:36 p.m. Saturday. According to the report, the incident could be linked to an individual who had been arrested for driving while impaired.
WILLMAR -- All four tires were slashed and most of the windows were either broken or cracked multiple time in a vehicle that was parked in the 600 block of Ninth Street Southeast. The incident was reported at 9:09 a.m. Sunday.
Gas line cut
WILLMAR -- A CenterPoint Energy gas line was cut in the 500 block of 24th Street Southeast. The incident was reported at 11:10 a.m. Sunday.
