Accident

MONTEVIDEO-- Bruce Donald Schlenner, 45, of Maynard was injured Friday afternoon when the 1998 Honda motorcycle he was riding collided with a 1989 Pontiac 6000 in a rear-end type accident on state Highway 7 on the edge of Montevideo.

Schlenner, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to the Montevideo Hospital with back injuries, according to the State Patrol.

The driver of the car, Kathy Lynn Blue, 52, of Montevideo, was not injured.

Weapon complaints

WILLMAR --A man told Willmar police at 5:19 p.m. Friday that a man in a white truck pointed a gun at him in the 600 block of Southeast Fourth Street. A suspect, who was identified, faces second degree charges.

WILLMAR -- At 8:43 p.m. Friday an individual reported there were five gun shots in the 400 block of North Cofield Street in Raymon. Officers were unable to locate anything.

Counterfeit bill

WILLMAR -- A counterfeit ten-dollar bill was passed at Cashwise at 12:08 a.m. Saturday. The bill was taken as evidence.

Fight

WILLMAR --Police were called to a fight at Vannandys Bar and Night Club at 1:03 a.m. Saturday in the 1300 block of Southeast Lakeland Drive. There were no weapons involved, and the individuals left the scene. Just one minute earlier, at 1:02 a.m., the dispatch center received a call saying there was drug trafficking going on at Vannandys.

Assault

WILLMAR -- At 12:33 a.m. Sunday, a police officer was flagged down by a woman at Vannandys Bar and Night Club, in the 1300 block of Southeast Lakeland Drive, and reported that she'd been assaulted. A 26-year old man from Redwood Falls was arrested for theft and interfering with a 9-1-1 call.

Theft

WILLMAR -- A radar detector valued at $40 and a purse with $170 in cash was reported stolen from a vehicle at 1:15 a.m. Saturday at the Kandi Entertainment Center, in the 500 block of Southeast 19th Avenue. The front passenger window of the vehicle was broken.

WILLMAR -- A bike was reported stolen at 9:03 a.m. Saturday from the Dairy Queen on First Street. A bike was reported stolen at 1:13 p.m. Sunday in the 1400 block of Southwest Vista Lane.

BLOMKEST -- Mel's 7-71 Truck Stop reported that someone drove off without paying for $60.67 worth of gas at 7:07 a.m. Saturday.

WILLMAR -- Handi Stop, in the 600 block of First Street, reported that an individual driving a green van drove off without paying for $40.75 in gas.

Arson

WILLMAR -- A piece of construction equipment was set on fire at 6:57 p.m. Saturday in the Northeast Lower Trentwood Circle. The seat of the "packer" was on fire when an officer arrived and quickly extinguished the blaze. The report said 7-8 kids on bicycles that were seen in the area may have been involved in the incident.

Fire

WILLMAR -- A fire in a kitchen stove was reported at 1:37 p.m. Sunday in the 800 block of Northwest Northwood Court. The fire department was on the scene for about a half-hour.

Suspicious individuals

WILLMAR -- A resident reported that two men were opening mailboxes at 8:40 p.m. Saturday on Southeast Pleasantview Drive. Officers were unable to locate the individuals.

Vandalism

WILLMAR -- Two tires on a vehicle were reported punctured at 8:15 a.m. Saturday in the 700 block of Southwest 10th Street. The damage was estimated at $120.
