Redwood Valley (19-9) entered the game having won 10 straight.

The teams split a pair of Southwest Conference games during the regular season.

The Arrows (21-5) had three players control much of the action, with Brooke Woelber scoring 20 points, Bailey Bouman adding 14 and Bree Woelber 11. The trio scored all but four of Pipestone's 29 first-half points.

Redwood Valley kept pace in the first half, trailing by six at the break. But the Arrows got too many open looks in the second half, making 12 shots from the field to the Cardinals' five.

Jessica Fischer scored 19 points to lead Redwood Valley. Kelsey Guetter added 10 and Hannah Bitker had nine.

The Arrows won 63-51 in the first meeting of the season on Dec. 12 in Redwood Falls. The Cardinals avenged the loss later by collecting a 57-56 win Jan. 24 in Pipestone. That sparked the Cardinals to win 13 of their next 14 games before Friday's loss.
