Regional clinincs offering vaccine to everyone

WILLMAR -- Affiliated Community Medical Centers continues to follow the Minnesota Department of Health guidelines and is now offering H1N1 novel influenza vaccine appointments to everyone of any age group, at all ACMC clinic locations.

The second dose of H1N1 vaccine is also available for children ages 6 months to 9 years who have already received a first dose of H1N1 vaccine. Children must wait at least four weeks between the first and second dose.

People interested in receiving the swine flu vaccine can contact Affiliated Community Medical Centers from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment.

Seasonal vaccine is also available for those who have not yet received the seasonal influenza vaccine.

Guidelines and recommendations for H1N1 are continuously being updated. Local providers will share new information as it becomes available. Consumers are asked to contact their health care provider if they have any health concerns.
