Registration still open for Ridgewater summer camp
WILLMAR -- There's still time to register for this year's Ridgewater College Summer Camp for youth.
The Willmar camp is set for 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. July 27-30.
The camp is open to students who will be entering grades 5, 6, 7 or 8 this fall. Although the camps promise to be the largest ever based on current registrations, there's still room for more, according to a release from Ridgewater College.
New sessions in Willmar this year include peer T-shirt designing, emergency medical ser-vices, agriculture and art in architecture. Back by popular demand will be pottery, health care, outdoor adventures, desktop publishing and slideshow creations.
The cost of $99 per student includes four days of hands-on supervised classes and activities, materials, lunches, a T-shirt and other items.
The camps are sponsored by the Ridgewater College Center for Customized Training and Continuing Education, Student Success grant, and the College Foundation, as well as the West Central Integration Collaborative, the Minnesota Work Force Center, and Central Minnesota Jobs and Training.
