Patriot Guard volunteers honored three area soldiers, two of whom were killed in Iraq, as part of their Remember the Fallen tribute Saturday. The cyclists visited the gravesites of Kyle Miller and Joshua Schmit in Willmar and Ryan Cain near Kandiyohi. Ron and Janet Mackedanz, pictured at left placing flowers near Cain's headstone in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, were just two of the dozens of participants paying tribute to the soldiers. Members of the Military Salute Project and volunteers from Bugles Across America and the Patriot Guard plan to visit the gravesites of 80 soldiers in Minnesota and Wisconsin over the next two months.
