Renville County postpones all-county meeting on drainage to March 28

OLIVIA -- A Renville County meeting planned on drainage systems is re-scheduled due to the weather.

The all-county meeting will be held at 1 p.m. on March 28 in the Renville County Office Building instead of on Feb. 29.

Discussion on the re-determination of benefits and rising costs due to wet years and increasing drainage are among the topics. Last year the maintenance costs for the public ditch systems exceeded $1.5 million.

Drainage attorney Kurt Deter, of the Rinke Noonan Law Firm, St. Cloud, and Ron Ringquist, of the Minnesota Viewers Association, will speak.
